ABOUT ME

A small island filmmaker with big dreams!

Greetings, fellow movie fans. 

My name is Victor Viruet, and I love filmmaking. Ever since I was a child, I've always dreamed of making movies. My all-time favorite film is Titanic - the story, the visual effects, and the soundtrack had a profound impact on my young life, becoming my first true cinematic love. 

Growing up, I would stay up late watching interviews about the latest holiday blockbusters, and I joined or created movie clubs to share my passion. Fortunately, I had my parents' approval and support from the very beginning, which fueled my desire to follow my filmmaking dreams.

Graduated from the University of North Texas, where I made some delightful connections and collaborated on several YouTube videos that each garnered a total of 20,000 views. I also participated in my university's student news outlet, which won a Lone Star Emmy Award in the fall of 2022. Most importantly, I had the privilege of serving as a Production Assistant on a full-length film called "Enredo de Reyes,"  which received much praise and recognition. Won "Best Sound"  for an independent short film "La Rebelión de la Ficción". 

Currently pushing the envelope of my creative capabilities for Hasta Las Piedras Cantan, transmitted via television broadcasting on Punt2 NBCUniversal. A show dedicated to diving deep into the enriching and fulfilling lives of musicians, business individuals, entrepreneurs. The biggest challenge of my whole life, and it has been a wild and blessed ride. Going on for 2 years now in 2025.
